Second Visit

TS: The sounds of little kids zipping up their coats and preparing for after school hours was the first thing I heard when I came in to The Multicultural Magnet School for my second visit. SD: During recess, I got to meet friends like Joshua, Lilli, Kayla, Casey, Edward, Melvin and many more. CM: Melvin, a little guy with a Mohawk, kept going running around and slamming into people and getting into trouble; however, by the time my visit was over, I realized that Melvin was the troublemaker of the group. CM: Also, during the freezing temperature outside, the kids kept taking their hands, gloves and coats off and hiding them to “experiment what it was like to feel the cold” said Lilli. SD: Compared to my last visit, more kids came to me and asked me for some help with math, reading and also to play some memorable games. CM: I read a dog book with Joshua, made angels with rubber bands with Casey, which he threw some at someone and got a free ticket to the corner. CM: At one point, I was asked to do a math grid with Kayla and ended up playing peek a boo with her until our time had passed. SD: Lastly, today, Thursday, consisted of games, music and computers for activities which I got to be part of games. CM: We made necklaces, even for the boys, and we played a games where we all tangled up and had to get out as quickly as possible. CM: All the screaming and all of those smiles were the best part of my day. CS: As I ended my visit, I thought of all the memories that had happened in one hour and thirty minutes and was ready to come back for some more.
