Third Visit

TS: From the moment the cold hit me as I stepped outside for my third visit, I knew this was going to be something. SD: Since I am no good with names, it all started outside when I called a little boy Edward and it was Melvin. CM: At first he waved at me and I said, “Hi Edward!” but then he frowned and raised his voice and yelled out “Hey I’m not Edward, I’m Melvin!” CM: However, he later went off to play tag and also to do troublesome things like run into the fence. SD: I was later forgiven by playing tag with him and others like Lilli and Pedro. CM: While the kids were waiting in line, in the classroom and in the gym we kept laughing until Pedro started crying. CM: When we were in the gym, we played packman and Pedro went to a corner and started crying because “people kept getting [him] out” which made him mad. SD: Lastly, when my hour and a half visit had past, I saw a young woman of about 22 years come and get her five or six year old. CM: Although these kids seem happy, I asked myself “Why am I here?” CM: Maybe the hour that they spend with us, they will share the memories with their families and then be happy with smiles on their faces, which might make, for example, the woman happy to know that her child is happy. CS: From me messing up names to playing tag with all of the kids, thus far I think this is the most memorable visit since the beginning.
